National team MTB and CX - Joe Blackmore

Hi I’m Joseph Blackmore, 19, from London.

Started cycling at Herne hill velodrome but always chose to ride off road (MTB and CX) enjoying them more at the time. Cyclocross has stayed with me each winter and had my best season yet last winter winning a National series round, 3rd Elite at National Champs, and 14th at U23 World Champs.

As the Cx Season finished I started my first MTB XC races for Great Britain on the Senior Academy program where I have raced the same Elite races and U23 World cups. 35th In Albstat after starting on the grid around 60th. Currently only being half way through the MTB season I still have more opportunity’s to come such as Representing England in the Commonwealth Games for the MTB event.
