Mountain biking is an extremely demanding sport and vary drastically from road and gravel. The biggest difference is that there is the huge number of speed changes when riding. Rim weight is all important to low speed acceleration, so our rim are designed to be superlight, allowing for optimal acceleration.

With the huge variance in terrain, you may well find yourself needing to accelerate hard on inclines, so it’s not just light rims that are needed, but overall wheel stiffness. Our wheels are hand built using industry leading components and this allows our builders to tune the wheels to the riders weight and riding style. The benefits will never be more apparent than when you accelerate hard, out the saddle, uphill!

Our cross country rims are wider than traditional MTB rims giving increased strength and also a more stable platform for the tires at the low pressures needed. Our wheels are optimised for tubeless setup for this reason we use a hook-less rim.
As with our popular road rims we use the legendary DT Swiss hubs which are available in all your modern “boost” axle sizes!
