Swift Hypervox Build
After taking on Swift Bikes and getting over my long term injury it was time to prepare and spec up my 2019 race bike. I opted for the aero Swift Hypervox, unsure about the necessity and reliability of disc brakes I decided to go for the caliper version of the bike. At close to 80kg at “race weight” I felt that the aero bike suited my needs greater than a super light climbing bike.
On to the spec of the bike, most of the components have been chosen to compliment the aero frame. 150mm minus 17 degree stem gets the front end nice and low to help my position and the Easton EC70 aero handlebars help to reduce the drag at the front of the bike.
Arguably the most important and biggest performance upgrade were the wheels, I have chosen The VeloElite Carbon Premium wheel set in 60mm depth. Upon fitting these i was blown away by the speed and acceleration and especially the stiffness, The rim graphic was colour matched to the stunning blue on the frame. I went for the Industry Nine torch road hubs, although slightly heavier than the other hub options at VeloElite they are the fasted engaging road hub on the market and the stainless bearing roll so well.
All in all by far the fastest bike I have ridden and I cant wait to start racing on it
